Windows 11 Review; In this article, we are going to take a look at Windows 11, which was officially released yesterday, to see what changes have been made to Microsoft’s new operating system.
Microsoft officially released Windows 11 last night; the Operating system with a new look but a familiar atmosphere in which this time we see very good capabilities. Most of the changes that Microsoft has made to this operating system are related to appearance, but this does not mean that Windows 11 has not undergone major changes in terms of functionality. So in general it can be concluded that the new Windows is an operating system with a modern and beautiful appearance that can be considered a successful update for something that has been available to the public for more than 35 years.
In separate articles, we gave a full review of the capabilities of this operating system, in some other articles, we taught you how to download and install it , and we even told you how to go back to the previous Windows if you were not satisfied with your experience with it . But all this was in a situation where Windows was not officially released, so all our judgments were theoretical and not practical. But now that the operating system is officially available, we have the opportunity to share our experience of working with it.
In general, the strengths and weaknesses of Windows 11 can be summarized in the following sections:
Review the positive points of Windows 11
- New and beautiful appearance
- Added sound effect
- Added new modes to Snap Assist
- High speed and excellent efficiency in powerful systems
Review the negative points of Windows 11
- Lack of good features such as universal mute
- Lack of support for Android software (currently)
- Lack of adaptable refresh support
- Taskubar has lagged behind compared to before
- UI and night mode changes are not stable
At a glance, the strengths and weaknesses of Windows 11 can be summarized in what we saw, but keep in mind that for some, as long as there are no problems such as various regimes and bugs, they are completely satisfied with the changes. Therefore, the purpose of reviewing Windows 11 is only to express personal experiences, and other users can have their own personal opinion. But let’s talk about the changes made in Windows 11.
Examining the appearance of Windows 11

After you install Windows 11, you will quickly notice the changes compared to Windows 10. First the sound effect and then change the default taskbar to the middle from the left corner. Of course, this mode can be reverted to the previous settings. But there is no other option to increase the size, lock it, move it up or left and right. With this design, Windows is now similar to the Mac operating system, where the programs are arranged in the middle of the toolbar.
To change the toolbar and taskbar settings, you will be taken to the settings page, which has changed the most and now looks very new and unfamiliar. Of course, this is always normal in new operating systems, which is a little difficult to get used to the new conditions, and it seems that if the Windows 11 user menu becomes normal for you, you will enjoy working with it a lot.
By removing live tiles, Windows 11 now offers a more enjoyable yet minimalist experience. Especially since this simplification has been combined with new icons with more curved corners and has given Windows an incredibly attractive look.

Also, navigating between the different options in the settings has become much easier and everything has been separated with different colors. While more options have now been added to the settings, users still have access to the popular control panel to apply the settings to the system.
On the toolbar you will now see icons for widgets that provide you with all kinds of news and information such as weather, daily news and the like. Of course, unlike the phone’s operating system, you can not drag and drop widgets anywhere on the desktop. Perhaps the only downside is that if you click on a link in the widget, regardless of the default browser you have, the link will open with Microsoft Edge, which may not be pleasant for some.

Of course, the process of changing the default browser has become much more difficult. That way, if you ignore the default browser change settings first, you’ll need to go through different sections of the settings so that you can choose another browser as the default browser instead of the one Microsoft chose. That’s why Mozilla made changes to its browser settings that the user can select as the default browser with a simple click. Also, according to the reviewer, the changes that Microsoft has made to improve the experience of working with its browser are not very good and still work.
Added to the taskbar is the Microsoft Team, which allows users, especially those who do remote office work, to make voice, video, and page sharing. Of course, this application is not optimized for business yet, but it has a relatively good performance. However, it seems unlikely that anyone will want to use the Microsoft Team, despite the variety of applications in this area.
You can find many positive changes in Windows 11 in multitasking. Where many different modes have now been added to Snap Assist. Instead of limiting windows to four different sizes, users are now able to split the screen into several different sections of different sizes, which is a very practical and attractive change. To split the page, you no longer need to do various things in the settings to activate it, just click on the square icon (full screen window) to display the different modes of page splitting.
Also a good feature of this new page-sharing system is that no matter how you split the windows, Windows remembers it in Snap Groups, and if the system restarts for any reason or you accidentally close the windows, it will be the same again. They were displayed on the screen.
The Microsoft Store is another good and attractive part of Windows 11 that has remained unchanged for several years. In fact, in the Microsoft Store we saw a list of applications that we did not want to install on our system at all. But this time the situation is different and the company decided to make fundamental changes in this area. That way, even x86 (or exe) format applications are included. A great decision that resulted in great results as popular and widely used applications such as Zoom, OBS Studio, Discord, VLC and TeamViewer are now available in the store. Microsoft has even updated its store to third-party stores, which means we may be seeing it soon, as the Amazon App Store is available now and it is said that Epic Games will be available soon.

The Microsoft Store now has a simpler but more practical look, with different categories for each type of application. There is also a separate section for downloading applications to notify users about downloading or updating files (similar to the previous generation). Thus, it seems that we have finally been able to see a good and Windows-worthy store that took us from browsing the Internet to find the exe file. Quality is unnecessary.
To play the game, you can also count on the good capabilities of Windows 11. Of course, Microsoft has said that this window gives you the best gaming experience, but in practice you do not feel much different than before. Apart from the fact that Auto HDR now automatically increases the quality of games that do not support HDR, and on the other hand, with the addition of DirectStorage, the loading time of games from SSD has also decreased, but many of these differences are not considered revolutionary. Of course, the last feature is not currently available in Windows 11.
But if you have an Xbox, you will definitely have a good experience with Windows 11, because it has become easier to download and install games through the Xbox Game Pass, and on the other hand, the user can easily play games on these consoles through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service called xCloud. It is also known to stream.
Of course, there is a feature called Virtualization-Based Security, which according to PC Gamer, has reduced the frame rate by up to 28% in some games. Of course, users who upgrade to Windows 11 are safe, but Microsoft is apparently forcing Windows 11-based system makers to enable this feature by default. Unfortunately, the current review did not provide a chance to use this feature, and Microsoft did not respond to questions from the source website.

The Windows keyboard is now much more visually appealing with the addition of various themes and wallpapers. On the other hand, various gestures such as moving with three fingers to move between applications, swiping down with three fingers to return to the desktop or even swiping to switch between different pages of the virtual desktop have been added to it.
Finally, we need to mention the pre-installed applications such as Paint, Clock, Photos, and the like that have undergone changes. For example, the Photos app now allows the user to put several different images together in the same window at the same time and compare them. The clock app now uses the Focus Session feature, which saves time by splitting user activities into smaller sections. This app is integrated with Spotify so you can listen to music while you want to relax.
What is missing in Windows 11?
As it turns out, if you have experience working with Windows 11, you get the feeling that the new Microsoft operating system is still under development and new features must be added to make it a stable and reliable operating system. . For example, the same taskbar where the settings related to resizing and location are limited, the ability to drag and drop on the taskbar is disabled, in multi-monitor systems you can not have the date and time, or in fact, it is better to say in these systems the taskbar The default form is disabled.
If you are used to using small icons on the taskbar or grouping them, you should know that it is not possible to do this in Windows 11. Right-clicking on the toolbar instead of showing the various applications and options we saw in Windows 10 only shows the taskbar settings and many other limitations that made it one of the weaknesses of Windows.
You may not notice the downside because of the attractive look of this menu now, but you should know that most of the feedback sent to Microsoft was about Taskbar, and so we know that fortunately, Microsoft is aware that these changes are not user-friendly. Is and will think about it in the coming months. Of course, we can not say for sure, but we can be hopeful because Taskbar really has a lot less than before.
The next case is the night mode, which we expected to perform better, but unfortunately did not. We do not see any significant improvements in this area because many frames and sections of Windows remain on despite the night mode being activated. Windows is the only large and widely used operating system that does not use automatic night mode. In such a way that it can not activate the dark or light mode based on the hours of the day. While in operating systems such as Android, Mac, iOS, and iPadOS we see such a feature.

The right-click menu is another weakness of Windows 11. Microsoft has reached this point in appearance, but in many sections, we see that the same old menu of Windows 10 exists and there is no difference between them. Even the option to rename and copy has been removed, and instead we see icons related to them at the top of the menu, which may be a little difficult for beginners to adapt to the new changes.

Another downside is the global mute that Microsoft promised to put in Windows 11 so that with one option the user can take the microphone out of the reach of all apps. But we do not see such a thing now. The company also announced that Android applications will be added to Windows 11 and their support will be native, but there is no news about that. Even variable refresh is not supported in Windows 11, which means that if your device uses 120 Hz refresh, it will remain at the same refresh in the display of all content, which has a very negative effect on battery life.
Of course, Microsoft announced that it will soon add global mute to Windows 11, and support for Android apps will be available through a preview build by the end of the year. But there is no word yet on variable refresh support, and we do not know when we should see support for it in Windows 11.
Do we need to upgrade our system to the new Windows?
It is primarily up to you to decide whether to upgrade to the new operating system or not because in the end, it is up to you to use it. But considering all the good and bad features that have been identified since using Windows 11, it seems that there are not many negative effects that can cause problems in your system. Therefore, it is unlikely that you will face the challenges of Windows 10 time by installing Windows 11.
However, if you are using a system that you are sure does not support Windows 11 and you do not intend to upgrade (hardware), it is recommended that you do not install it as you may encounter problems that will cause problems with your system. On the other hand, if you download and install it through your system update, it will be better than doing it manually by downloading the ISO file. Because in this case, you will get exactly the Windows that is optimized for installation on your system.
