Samsung Galaxy A12 review; The Samsung Galaxy A12 is one of those phones that can literally be called cheap. This “cheap” Samsung phone, which has just entered the market, has been able to find a relatively good position among its competitors, and today we are here to take a closer look at the factors that have brought the A12 to this position.
Samsung Galaxy A12 review
Body and build quality

When we say cheap, we mean really cheap. The price of this phone starts from $ 180 and the quality of the phone itself at such a price is really great.
The body of the phone is completely plastic, but it is very pleasant to hold and the texture of the blue back of the phone. Also, one of the interesting things to know is that this phone has a dual SIM card with a slot for a Micro SD card and a headphone jack.
Of course, do not raise your expectations too high, because the space between the back is a little empty and when we push it, it bends inwards. In addition, in terms of security, you get a fingerprint scanner on the side of the device, which is of extraordinary quality. There may be one or two weird mistakes in fingerprint recognition, but this scanner looks relatively fast and reliable.
And last but not least, the phone has a single speaker at the bottom that does not make a lot of noise but still does not make a lot of noise at the highest volume.
screen

The A12 screen is not really bright enough to be easily used outdoors; But if you want to check one or two instant messages while walking with your friends, you can do it. Minimal stagnant screen light is greatly reduced so that you do not accidentally blind yourself during the night!
This page does not use AMOLED, so do not expect amazing colors; But IPS technology is at least burn-resistant, does not dull colors, and produces colors suitable for ordinary people. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will not receive any insane refresh rates from this page, and its resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels, which of course is quite to be expected in this price range.
Camera
The phone’s camera is quite satisfying and with enough sunlight, it can capture beautiful photos with the right resolution. These photos are not really something that will surprise you, but they are very impressive for normal use, and at least we do not have any complaints about their quality. HDR performance is really good; Shadows are well visible even in sunny conditions, and the sky is rarely exposed to too much light.
There’s also an ultra-wide camera on the phone, which is not very sharp, but still captures interesting photos of natural scenes.
Zooming in with this camera is not something we would recommend because there is no dedicated lens for this; However, some photos look great and have beautiful colors.

One of the areas in which Samsung always shines is portrait mode. The subject is often very well recognized, and the selfie camera works great if there is enough light.
Despite all this, the lack of night mode can be a negative feature because its lack limits our ability to take photos that we can take at night.
We also have a macro camera here which we think is more of a hoax than a camera with a real macro lens. This lens produces good colors and shows more detail at close range, but it’s not really that sharp, and we’d rather spend the budget elsewhere.
Videos made with this camera are not very poor. With this camera, you can shoot at 30 frames per second and 1080p resolution. Such resolution and frame rate are not really surprising, but the quality of these films is at least suitable for some family films or similar events during the holidays; But another thing to note is that the A12 microphone has a bit of a problem discussing noise canceling while filming.
So if you are planning to make a video in a crowded place or near a busy street, keep this in mind. Also, do not expect any solution to reduce the screen shake when shooting here, and if you really want to shoot while walking, the problem will be bigger.
Function
Now you may be wondering how it works given the very low price of this phone. Well, let’s put it this way: you probably won’t be surprised by the A12’s performance, but at least you haven’t given up on the worst option available.

Galaxy A12 is equipped with a cheap Helio P35 processor. Such a chip is not really suitable for gaming or anything like that; For example, when we tried to play Minecraft on it, we encountered a problem; But watching movies and browsing the web are some of the things that can be done easily with this phone.
While using this phone, you will notice that applications need a little time to open; But once the programs open, you will not have much of a problem. With all this, having such a weak processor has an amazing advantage called very low power consumption.
Battery
Your battery capacity here is around 5,000 mAh, which is simply amazing. If you do not use your mobile phone too much, you can expect to use it for more than 2 days; But still, like any other device on the market, if you use it constantly, you will probably have to charge it on the same day. You get a fast charger in the box when you buy it, but keep in mind that “fast” here means only 15 watts, and it still takes a few hours to fully charge the battery.

Conclusion
So, the Samsung Galaxy A12 is a good phone for at least $ 180. With the purchase of the A12 from an interesting blue texture on the back of the phone, you get a great camera for family vacations, good performance for everything except gaming, and a much larger battery than the original size of the phone.
But we are not sure if this device is suitable for this price or not (especially with the performance that has sacrificed less price). For example, for the same price, you can get the Oneplus Nord N100 and have a more powerful processor and camera with good performance.
Or if you’re looking for something even more powerful, the Moto G Power has the Snapdragon 662, which costs just $ 20 more than the A12. So, everything depends on your preferences and exactly what you need from a mobile device. Do you think this is a good smartphone? Do you choose anything else at this price? Or maybe you want to spend a little more?
