Why OnePlus 9T has been officially canceled? The CEO of OnePlus officially announced a few hours ago that the flagship of the T series will not enter the market this year. Also, following the merger with Oppo, next year OnePlus phones will be available with a new user interface. The company announced a few months ago that it was integrating OxygenOS user interface codes with ColorOS Oppo.
As you probably know, the OnePlus introduces flagship phones twice a year, and the T-Series usually launches with significant upgrades over the original models. For example, the charging speed of the 8T is about twice that of the OnePlus 8, and the refresh rate of the 7T display is 90 Hz, but the OnePlus 7 uses a 60 Hz display. In 2016, OnePlus introduced the 3T as the first T-series phone, and after 5 years, this year is the first year that the new T-Series model will not reach users.

In addition to the cancellation of the OnePlus 9T, the CEO of the company also announced the use of a new user interface, which is supposed to combine the strengths of OxygenOS with ColorOS. Of course, the name of this new user interface has not been announced yet. Although the two companies’ behind-the-scenes handsets will be very similar, they will be visually different.
In addition, the OnePlus Warp Charge technology will be combined with Oppo SuperVOOC technology to bring both companies more attractive features in this area. Last week, Bloomberg News reported that the merger of OnePlus and Oppo had resulted in the downsizing of about 20 percent of those working in the software and hardware sectors.
Despite this news, OnePlus claims that the unique identity of the company is still preserved. But overall, with the integration of the user interface and of course the people working in R&D, it seems that OnePlus and Oppo will not be much different any time soon.
