Ever had a broken headphone jack in your hand and wondered where the end is ?! Ever had to quickly unplug your headphones from your phone or tablet and then find that the jack was stuck in its socket?
Unfortunately, headphone jacks are not made strong enough for continuous connection and disconnection. If your headphone jack breaks and gets stuck in the socket of your phone, iPhone or amplifier player, you can no longer connect your headphones to the device and you must first remove this broken piece from your device.
Here are six ways to help you get rid of your broken device in such a situation. Join us on Wironal.
How to remove a broken headphone jack?
Often the end of a broken headphone jack fits on a phone or tablet. These small cylindrical jacks appear to be the weakest in the areas covered with black plastic. This is the case with all wired headphones.

It may be a stressful situation, but there are several ways to remove this broken jack and remove it from your phone or tablet:
- With the help of an automatic ink tube
- With the help of instant glue
- Bent with the help of pins
- With the help of toothpicks and hot glue
- Heated with the help of a paper clip
- With the help of specialized tools called grippastic
When pulling out the headphone jack, make sure that the headphone socket is facing down. Gravity always helps in such situations.
Also, before reading these methods, know that you should do them with full responsibility and awareness of their dangers. One wrong move can damage your phone or tablet.
1. Can an auto ink tube help pull out the headphone jack?

Note: The inside of your auto ink tube is about the size of the diameter of your headphone cylinder jack. With a little effort and proper adjustment, you can remove this jack from your device.
To do this, disconnect your automatic tube from the automatic. This is the part that contains the ink and is attached to the tip of the pen.
There is no ink at the end of the auto ink tube, just opposite the tip of the auto ink. You can use this part of the automatic pipe to pull out the broken jack. Squeeze it into your headphone jack and pull out the broken jack. The diameter of the automatic pipe should be such that it is difficult to insert the broken jack inside and then pull it out.
If this does not work, you can use a nail to loosen the end of the tube slightly to make sure the headphone jack fits inside. You can also heat the end of the tube a little to soften it, insert it into your phone socket and then wait for it to cool and tighten, then pull it out.
If your hands are very precise, you can use instant glue or hot glue at the end of your automatic ink tube. Apply some of this glue to the tube and then repeat.
Finally, you may need a little more pressure. If you can, cut a few inches from the automatic tube and place it on the socket of your device. Then tap it firmly (shoes or slippers) to make sure the broken headphone jack is in the tube. When you are sure of something like this, pull the jack out of the phone.
2. Glue the other end of the headphone jack with instant glue

If the automatic tube method does not work, you can use instant glue. You probably know that instant glue never dries quickly after use and you have to wait a while.
Wait a while for the glue to harden. This step is very important to perform this operation correctly.
Using a thin object, place a small piece of instant glue on the other end of the headphone jack, the same piece that is not stuck in the phone. Depending on the type of adhesive (and the description on the body), wait a while for it to harden and then insert it into the headphone jack of your phone. Pull it out after 30 seconds. Congratulations if Jack is broken.
It is very important to use a small amount of instant glue. Otherwise, the inside of the socket may be glued and you may have problems in the future. Dip one ear into warm paraffin 3 times, pausing between layers to allow them to dry.
3. Pull out the broken headphone jack using pins

If you want a simpler method, you can use a peg, using a hammer to make it L-shaped.
Hold your phone or tablet and insert the pins into the headphone jack. Do this so that the sharp point of the pins hits the black and plastic part of the headphone jack, press the pin and turn it to sink into that part.
You need to insert the tip of the pin a little into this plastic part. When you are sure it is deep enough, try pulling out a broken headphone jack.
4. Toothpicks and hot glue

Do you think it is better to use another device that is narrow enough to fit in a headphone jack? How to try a toothpick? Use a long wooden or plastic toothpick and make sure it is long enough to reach the end of a broken headphone jack. Dip one end of a toothpick into the warm adhesive and allow to cool slightly.
Carefully insert the toothpick into the headphone socket to reach this broken jack. Wait a while for the glue to cool and dry. If everything goes according to plan, you can simply pull out the broken jack of your headphones.
5. Hot paper clip

Do you have any glue? Heat can be a good alternative because most of the broken part of the headphone jack is the same black and plastic part. Find a paper clip and pull it out to pull out your headphones.
Hold the paper clip with the heat insulator and heat the end. Lift your earphone and carefully insert the heated clip into the headphone jack. Squeeze a little and wait for the plastic to cool. If all goes well, you can pull out the broken headphone jack.
6. Grippastic Special tool for pulling out broken headphone jack

If these methods do not work, you should use a more professional method. Grippastic is the product of a successful Kickstarter campaign designed to pull out a broken headphone jack.
Although a little expensive, it’s cheaper than paying a repairman to pull out a headphone jack. Also, if your phone is under warranty or insurance, it may be a little fabricated to send it to the company because of such a problem. Using grip sticks can save you from these problems.
Gripastic is easy to use. Insert the tube into the headphone socket, press, and then pull it out. The grip of the broken headphone jack pulls you out.
It’s time to use Bluetooth headphones

Do not worry if for any reason you can not pull out the broken headphone jack. Your phone speakers may still work. Play an audio file and make sure your speakers are working. If the speakers work, you can consider another solution.
Is your speaker out of order? This is why a broken headphone jack tells your phone that the headphone is connected to the phone and is sending sound to the headphone as far as your phone knows. In this case, you will have a silent experience of your phone, which is useless, especially when making voice calls. This problem will not be resolved unless you remove the headphone jack.
In such cases, you can use Bluetooth headphones.
Cheaper headphones are more likely to break
Cheaper headphones generally break more easily and have weaker jacks. Such a risk is mutual, you will both lose your headphones and damage your phone socket. Even with the usual use of cheap headphones, you may have this problem. To avoid such problems, it is better to go for quality and slightly more expensive headphones when buying.
