At the top of the Word editing window that opens, click the Insert tab .

On the Insert tab under Illustrations, click Pictures and then This Device . This allows you to add a photo from your computer to the page.

Use the File Explorer window that opens to go to the folder containing your photo. Double-click the image to add it to the Word document.

Return to the Word editing page. Right-click on the image you just added and select Wrap Text from the menu and then In Front of Text .

Your photo is now freely portable. Drag and drop it anywhere on the Word page you want.
