Step 7; Return to the Restrict Editing window. Under the Exceptions section, check the box next to everyone or select the More users option to enter the people who are allowed to edit these sections.

Step 8; Under the Start enforcement section, select Yes, Start Enforcing Protection.

Step 9; In the Start Enforcing Protection box, choose between using a password or user authentication to restrict access to your posts.

Step ten; If you select the password option, you must enter the password of your choice. If you select the option of user authentication, the users you entered in the More users section can edit the posts of this Word file.

Step 11; Then click OK to save your changes.

Restrict editing via the Developer tab
In addition to the method described above, there is another way to restrict the ability to edit posts in Microsoft Word, which is possible through the Developer tab. Before starting the main task, you must first enable the Developer tab in Microsoft Word. This tab is normally hidden because it contains advanced settings that are often used by professional users.
To activate this tab, click on the File menu and select Options. This will open the Word settings window.
