How to create multiple accounts on Instagram? Do you have multiple Instagram accounts? One for business, one for fun? Another for another business? Or maybe your pet? Protecting separate accounts is highly recommended, but frustrating because Instagram users like to follow laser-focused accounts. And you are logged out of an account.
Finally, on February 8, 2016, Instagram announced the switching of accounts. I received the news the same day after days of scrutiny. Of course, Instagram had been doing this for about a week.

How to create multiple accounts on Instagram
Once you sign in to your current account, you can create a new Instagram account
If you have already created multiple Instagram accounts, you can easily connect them, go to the next section to do so.
Here’s how to create a new Instagram account that connects instantly to your current account:
This method has 12 steps, but they are really easy:
1- Open your current Instagram account.
2. Go to your profile.
3. Tap the 3 lines at the top right.
4. To go to Settings, tap the gear icon at the bottom.
5. Scroll down. Tap Add Account.
6- Do not fill in the login page. At the bottom of the page, tap Sign up.
7- You will see an option to use Facebook in registration. If you have already used Facebook for your main account, select Sign Up With Phone or Email.
8 – Enter your phone or email that is not used for another account. * Read the items that you should be careful about!
9- If you select Email, you will confirm your new account later. Open the email from Instagram and confirm your email address.
10. If you select Phone, you must enter the verification code sent to your phone. After entering the verification code, tap Next.
11- Then add your profile picture, name, and Instagram password.
12- The next step is to create a unique username. To do this, you can enter points or numbers.
You can skip the remaining steps for now.
You are logged in to your new account and can switch to your main account.
Can I create more than one account with the same email?
* Do not use the same email or phone for your second Instagram account.
Some readers have managed to do this and by forgetting their password, their second account is locked forever. You must have different email or phone numbers to recover your account!
And on every Instagram, “If you sign up with email, make sure you enter your email address correctly and choose an email address that only you can access. “If you log out and forget your password, you should be able to access your email to sign in to your Instagram account again.”
How to add Instagram Account Switching to existing accounts
The account switch was made available as part of Instagram version 7.15 for iOS and Android. First, make sure your application is up to date. If it is IS and you still do not have an account switch, a user reports that this problem is resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the program.
You can add multiple Instagram accounts to switch between them without having to log in and re-login.
To add Instagram accounts:
- Go to your profile and tap Add your account at the top of the page.
- In the popup window that opens, tap ‘Log Into Existing Account’.
- When you add the account, a pop-up window will appear (third photo)
- Tap the account you want to switch between.
To switch between accounts you have added:
- Go to your profile.
- Tap your username at the top of the screen.
- Tap the account you want to switch to.
- Or you can click and switch your profile picture from the bottom left of each tab!
Note that you can add up to 5 accounts on one device.
From now on, just tap on your Instagram profile picture at the bottom of each panel to switch between accounts.
After adding multiple accounts, you will see your profile picture in different places of the program so you can always tell which one you are currently using.
I noticed that my account name is displayed in the comments section so I am sure which account I am using. Is it good!
Where can I add an Instagram account? I do not have this option
There is another way to add it to your existing account.
Tap the three lines in the top corner and then click on “settings”.
Scroll down. You will see the “add account” option.
Tap it, then you can create a new account or sign in to an existing account.
Can I use multiple Instagram accounts with one login?
On each Instagram account, each account needs its own email address or phone number.
But after connecting the accounts, there is this option by setting up an account to log in to all of them.
Make sure you want to connect them permanently! It can be difficult to separate them once they are linked. Why not use a login?
This can be convenient – but you may regret setting it up for a few reasons.
Anyone who knows how to log in to an account will also have access to all linked accounts.
Access to business account
You may want a business partner or social media manager to access your business IG, but not your personal IG! If this is possible, I recommend that you refuse entry.
If you did and now you want to separate them, go to the next section.
Instagram says that each of your accounts retains its personal login and password, which you can still use to log in to each account separately. But if they have a common password, more problems will arise.
If accounts use a password, you can only access the original account on instagram.com.
How to set up a login
Are you sure you want to log in once? Go to your profile and tap the three lines in the corner.
In the settings section, scroll down.
Near the bottom, select the “login information” option.
Here you can set up a login.
The next time you log in with your login information, you will be logged in to the accounts you have added.
Can I delete a personal or business account at the same email address?
Does an entry cause a problem? This is what a singer named Deanna had to say:
“I have a personal account on Instagram and I also created a business account that was linked to using my iPhone via the same email/password combination.
I can only access the account through the personal account on the iPhone. On a Mac, I can sign in to my personal account, but it does not allow me to access my account.
I want to be able to log in to my Mac account as well. Is there a way to create separate login information (username and password) for my business account that is now created and linked to my personal account?
Another singer dropped this option on October 7, 2020. It was useful to him, though I can not guarantee it – because of changing social media, we can not trust things that may be available in the future.
According to Linoy:
You need to log out and then try to set your password. You will receive an email to reset it, after selecting a new password to reset the password, you can only use different usernames and passwords, even if it is in the same email. Access both accounts.
Note that accounts that previously shared your password will be terminated – but you can reconnect them with the new password. According to Dina:
When I got back on the phone, I was notified that I did not have access to the business page because I had changed my account password. I disconnected the business account link from my personal account and then reconnected it by following the instructions and using the new business account username/password. They communicated very well.
I hope this helps.
What is push notification on multiple Instagram accounts?
If you have added multiple Instagram accounts, you may receive push notifications from any account you have activated. This depends on when you last logged in and the number of devices logged into an account.
How do I delete the Instagram account I added?
To delete added Instagram accounts, you need to go to your profile.
Tap the three lines in the corner, then click Settings.
Scroll down and select “log out”.
This option allows you to select the account you want to sign out of. Select the account and log out.
My deleted Instagram account is still displayed!
If you still have a problem, my wonderful readers have come up with 3 different solutions.
Sign out of both accounts.
Then go back to the main page where you entered. This page still shows the extra account.
The name that appears on the left and on the right says sign in for both.
Hold down the page, it will appear next to the X login tab. Hit X.
Asks you that you will need all the information to log in again.
Here is another solution that the reader found when he did not get a result!
X was not active next to the account I was trying to delete.
I removed Instagram from my iPhone by holding the icon and tapping the small x in the corner.
Then I downloaded the app again from the App Store.
I logged in to my main account with my username and password.
I entered the settings and then Add an Account and added my second account again.
The third account is finally gone! PS You have to be careful that you have to remember all your usernames and passwords to solve this problem.
Plus the third solution presented in February 2019:
Here are the steps to delete an account that you have already deleted but is still displayed in your list.
1. Make sure you know the passwords for all your accounts.
2. Log out of all your accounts.
3. On the IG home screen, tap Manage accounts.
4.X appears next to the account name, tap it to delete the account you no longer want to be shown.
5. To delete another account, repeat step 4.
6. You can now create or add new accounts.
If this does not work for you, use the Report a Problem feature in your account settings.
Unfortunately, I can not help more, because I have not experienced this problem myself.
How to permanently delete an Instagram account
The following are the instructions for permanently deleting your Instagram account from your computer.
The permanent deletion of your Instagram account is irreversible!
After deleting your account, you can not sign in again with the same username or add that username to another account. Instagram cannot reactivate deleted accounts.
When you delete your account, your profiles, photos, videos, comments, likes and followers will be deleted forever.
If you prefer to rest a bit, you can temporarily disable your account instead.
If you are sure you want to delete it forever, login to Instagram.com. You can not delete your account from the Instagram app on your mobile device.
To permanently delete your account:
Go to the Delete Your Account page. If you are not logged in to Instagram on the web, you will first be asked to log in.
Select “Why are you deleting your account” from the drop-down menu? And re-enter your password. The option to permanently delete your account will appear only after selecting a reason from the list.
Click or tap Permanently delete my account.
If you want to delete another account, click on the username at the top right of the Delete Your Account page, tap next to the username and select Log Out. Log in as the account you want to delete and follow the instructions above.
Can I delete an Instagram account from my mobile device?
According to Instagram, this option has not been available since November 2019.
However, a theoretical reader might have been able to do it.
Continue with this issue! I have not tried this and I can not be responsible for your results. Heather said:
Once you’ve logged out of all your accounts, you can “manage accounts” and delete them separately when you sign in.
Can Instagram delete my account for me?
For security reasons, Instagram cannot delete an account for you. You must be logged in to delete it. If you can not remember your password or username, here are some tips to help you log in.
Send from scheduling tools
When using a certified scheduling tool such as Tailwind or better, it is important to sign in to your appropriate account for some types of posts.
For example, carousel stories and posts still need to be submitted manually. Therefore, when posting, click on the scheduling application notification
You must first log in to your Instagram account in the scheduling program.
Check this out before you hit the scheduling app notification!
Manage multiple accounts on the desktop
Because the desktop does not have an application, it is not easy to switch accounts.
Instead of switching, you should log out and sign in again. That can be very confusing!
If you are a Google Chrome user, there is a quick tip to make the process easier – “people”.
In the upper corner of the Chrome browser, there is a photo or icon of you. This represents your account.
Tap this option, some options will appear for your account settings.
At the bottom is “other people”. If someone else is logged in to Chrome, their picture is shown here.
At the bottom, there are two options: “guest” and “add”.
Click the add button, a page will open.
Give the person a name – if you have more than one business, you can name it later. Or use “personal” for a personal account on Instagram.
You can set an icon for your person to help you distinguish your accounts.
If you have not used Chrome before, a new window will open.
Log in to Instagram now. If you want to use your personal account but log in to your main Chrome browser with your business account, use your personal login information.
Chrome asks you if you want to save your password – click yes but do not start syncing with other profiles.
Now to log in to your personal account without logging in, click on your Chrome photo and select the “person” you just created.
Go to Instagram, you will see your personal account
If you have more than one account, this method also works for more applications such as Pinterest
