Content playing on the phone can be easily transferred to the large TV screen. Join us in exploring different ways to connect Android phone to TV .
connect Android phone to TV
Sometimes you may want to share your phone screen with people in the room or view the contents of the phone on a larger screen. There are several ways to connect an Android device to a TV, which we will examine in this article.
1.Using Chromecast
If your smart TV supports Chromecast or has a Chromecast dongle, you can connect your Android phone to the TV. First, check if the app you want to watch on TV supports casting. If the answer is yes, you can transfer the contents of the phone to the TV with just a few taps.
Apps like Netflix, Holo, HBO Now and Google Photo support casting technology. Most of these applications are installed by default on Android TV or Google TV.

The smartphone and TV or Chromecast must be connected to the same WiFi network. Then go to the desired application and tap the square player icon. Select the device you want to cast (transfer the contents of the phone).
Casting is a great option for apps whose content is under strict copyright law (like Netflix).
2. Android screen mirroring
Screen Mirroring or mirroring the screen of an Android phone on other devices such as TVs or laptops is another way to connect an Android device to a TV. Screen mirroring is suitable for applications whose contents are not limited to a specific rule and officially support casting.
This method still requires a smart TV or Chromecast, as well as the Google Home app on the Android device. Again, mobile phones and TVs (or Chromecasts) must use a WiFi network.

Open the Google Home app and tap the device you want to cast (transfer content to). Then tap the Cast my screen button to transfer the phone display to the TV. To finish, just touch the Stop Mirroring option in the app.
Screen mirroring is not supported by all Android devices, as this feature was introduced at the same time as Android 5 (Lollipop). Many phones have a Cast button in the quick settings section. In particular, Samsung phones have an option called Smart View, which allows you to connect and share content.
3. Connection by adapter and cable
If your device does not support Chromecast, you can use the HTMI cable and adapter to connect your Android phone to the TV. There are several options, depending on the type of monitor you want to connect to, the duration of the connection, and most importantly, the possibility of charging the phone while connecting.
The easiest way is to use a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Your phone must have a USB-C port. Connect the adapter to the phone, and then add an HDMI cable to the adapter to connect the phone to the TV.

Note that the phone must support HDMI Alt mode. This method takes up the phone’s charging port, so before using the adapter, make sure your phone has enough charge (unless the adapter is equipped with a charging port).
Some phones have a Micro USB port. So you need a micro USB to HDMI adapter. In addition, the phone must support a different protocol called MHL. Only then can you connect the phone to the adapter and transfer the phone display to the TV screen via the HDMI cable.
4- Play by DLNA
If none of the above methods work to connect an Android phone to a TV, do not worry at all! Most TVs with Internet connectivity have a protocol called DLNA. This protocol allows you to play your music and videos on your TV.
Of course, applications that are copyrighted (such as Netflix) are not supported in this way.
In the DLNA playback method, you need an application such as LocalCast, All Cast or Plex. The popular LocalCast app lets you play your music, pictures and videos on a DLNA device such as a console or smart TV.
The AllCast app works the same as LocalCast, but removing ads requires purchasing a premium account.
The Plex media management application can also be used as a DLNA player. The Plex server hosts music, photos, and videos on a computer and displays them on a TV.

With this application, you can search the library, select the media you want to display, and transfer it to your TV via Chromecast or DLNA.
Using Plex is associated with an important issue. The computer on which the server is set up must always be turned on and connected to the Internet (albeit while playing content)
