Galaxy S22; In January 2021, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S21 series handsets, which attracted a lot of attention thanks to their attractive design and excellent performance. In the meantime, what do we know about the next generation of these phones, the Galaxy S22? Although we are months away from the introduction of these phones, in the past weeks, various rumors have been raised about them, which we will briefly and usefully cover in this article.
Possible introduction date
Samsung usually introduced the Galaxy S series phones in March, but last year the S21 series phones arrived on January 14th. In this regard, there have been rumors recently that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S22 series phones this month.

However, it is possible that Samsung will choose March to introduce these phones, as always. Given that the vaccination process is being pursued rapidly in various countries, there is no doubt that Corona restrictions will be lifted by then, and Samsung will be able to hold ceremonies related to these phones in person.
Price of Galaxy S22 phones

Sales of the Galaxy S20 series were lower than Samsung expected, which is said to have not been welcomed by users due to the high price and, of course, the economic problems caused by the Corona crisis. That’s why Samsung lowered the price of these phones for the next generation. The Galaxy S20, for example, went on sale for $ 1,000, but Samsung set the price at $ 800 for the S21. While we should not expect the Galaxy S22 to be cheaper than the previous generation, it is unlikely that Samsung will increase the price of these phones.
The same regular models

It is said that this time too we should expect the introduction of the standard model, the Plus model, and the S22 Ultra. Given that this formula has worked for Samsung and has been welcomed by users, it is likely that Samsung will not change this combination. On the other hand, users who want to buy a cheaper model of the S22 family can wait for the introduction of the S22 Fan Edition, although there is no reliable report on the construction of this phone.
It should be noted that due to the problems of global chip shortages, the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition will apparently be available in limited markets in some months. As a reminder, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition was introduced about 7 months after the S20 series, which caused a lot of noise due to its reasonable price and attractive features.
Processor and display

Samsung has always shipped the Galaxy S series with Qualcomm and Exynos processors, and the Galaxy S22 series is no exception. Therefore, we should expect the Snapdragon 895 and Exynos 2200 to be used for these phones.
In 2019, Samsung announced its partnership with AMD to develop Exynos chipset GPUs, which are said to be the first handsets equipped with AMD GPUs. As for the display, it should be noted that last year the S21 was launched with a 6.2-inch display, and Samsung used 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch screens for the Plus and Ultra models.
According to one of the rumors, Samsung intends to reduce the screen size of the standard and plus models, and these two models will be available to users with 6.05 and 6.5-inch screens. Also according to the same rumors, the screen size of the Galaxy S22 Ultra remains almost the same as the previous generation, and apparently, unlike the other two models, it also supports variable rate refresh.
Possibility to use the Ultra model with a 200 megapixel camera

Contradictory rumors have been circulating about the Galaxy S22 Ultra using a 200-megapixel camera, and we still can’t say for sure. Regarding the camera zoom, this phone is also said to use a periscope camera with variable zoom. Although the S21 Ultra has two cameras with 3x zoom and 10x zoom if you want to use 7x zoom, for example, the zoom camera information is combined with digital zoom. However, variable zoom increases the quality of photos based on different zoom levels.
For standard and plus models, we should not expect to use a flashy camera, and the use of a 50-megapixel main camera will probably be the most important feature of their camera module.
