If your demo content is written as a Word document (DOCX), there are several ways you can turn it into a PowerPoint presentation (PPTX). In this article, we will teach you how to convert a Word document into a PowerPoint file via your web or personal computer.
Convert DOCX to PPTX on the web
The easiest way to convert a Word document to PowerPoint is to use the web. To do this, you must first go to the Microsoft Office Online Website and sign in to your account. Then open the document in Word. Note that you do not need to open PowerPoint in another tab or window.

Then click on File, go to the Export section and select the Export to PowerPoint Presentation option.

In this case, a window with a set of different themes will appear for you. Select the desired theme and click Export.

After a short time, you will be shown that the presentation is ready. Just click on the Open Presentation option.

This will open a slideshow for you in a new tab.

Note that your presentation with the same name as the Word document is automatically saved in OneDrive. If the Word document may not have a name, the slideshow will be saved with a default name such as Document 1. By clicking on this name in the upper left corner, you can specify a new name for your file.

Convert Word to PowerPoint on desktop
Word desktop application does not have the ability to automatically convert Word files to PPTX. This operation is done manually and requires user effort. but do not worry. We show you the conversion process step by step.
The first step is to convert the Word document format to an acceptable file in the PowerPoint application. To do this, we use the H1 header style for all headers and the H2 header style for all paragraphs in the text.
So first we open the desired Word document using the Word application. Then select your document header.

After selecting the header, go to the Styles section at the top of the window and click on the Heading 1 style. Make all the headers in the document Heading 1 style.

Then, select the paragraphs below your header. Then go to the Styles section at the top of the window again and after clicking More, select the Heading 2 style. Make all paragraphs in the document Heading 2 style.

Then click on File in the Word menu (upper left corner) and select Save. Instead, you can press the Control (Ctrl) and S (on Windows) or Command and S (on Mac) keys at the same time.

Then close your document in the Word application.
Now your Word document is ready to be imported into PowerPoint and turned into a PowerPoint presentation.
Then open the PowerPoint application and on the first page, click on the Blank Presentation option to create a new presentation.

In the edit window that opens, click the Home tab above. Then go to the Slides section (top) and click on the arrow icon next to New Slide.

In the menu that appears, select Slides From Outline.

In the meantime, the program will ask you to specify the file to import into the presentation. Then select the file whose format you have already changed.

Your Word document can easily be turned into a PowerPoint presentation. Each Header 1 in a Word document has a special slide in the presentation. Examine this display and apply the changes you want (if needed).

Finally, save your PowerPoint presentation by going to the menu bar and clicking File, then selecting Save.
