How to Hide Apps on Samsung Phones? There are many uses for hiding applications. Maybe you have an app on your phone that you don’t want others to know about, or maybe the home screen or app menu is so crowded that you have a hard time finding the right apps.
Fortunately, with the One UI interface, Samsung has given you plenty of personalization, one of which is hiding apps. This can be done easily using the Secure Folder app in the One UI. In the following, we will introduce you to three ways to hide applications on Samsung Galaxy phones.
Hide Apps on Samsung Phones
Applications of this method include separating business applications from non-working applications. Hiding work applications will no longer bother you with their notifications, and conversely, by hiding non-work applications, you can focus entirely on your work issues while working.
Method 1; Use One UI settings
Unlike Pixel Launcher, One UI has default settings for hiding apps. Follow these steps to use these settings.
Step 1 – Enter Settings.
Step 2 – Scroll down to the Home screen.
Step 3 – Point to the home screen and enter the Hide Apps menu.

Step 4 – Here you can find the application you want using the search field at the top of the page. You can also use the alphabet bar.
Step 5 – Each application you select will be in the top row.
Step 6 – Tap Done.

Shortcut – Just hold your finger on the phone’s home screen and tap Settings to go directly to the Home screen settings.
Unhide apps in One UI
Step 1 – Hold your finger on the home screen and enter the home screen settings.

Step 2 – From the Hide apps menu, tap on the icon – and remove the apps from the Hidden list.

When you are done, point to Done. Hidden apps now reappear on the app’s home screen / drop-down menu.
Method 2; Use the Secure Folder application
As the name implies, Secure Folder on Samsung Galaxy phones provides a secure environment for the protection of sensitive data.
You can transfer applications installed on your phone to Secure Folder, which is protected by the Samsung Knox security system. In the following, we will review the steps of activating and using Secure Folder together.
Note – Samsung hides the Secure Folder app from the apps menu by default. So the first step might be to find and activate the app itself.
Step 1 – Swipe down from the top menu and open the Notification Center.
Step 2 – Find a Secure Folder in the list and enable it.

Step 3 – Now you can see the Secure Folder shortcut on the Home screen.
Step 4 – Open the Secure Folder app and point to the + icon at the top of the screen.

Step 5 – You can download both apps from Google Play and the Galaxy App Store, or choose one of the apps on your phone.
Step 6 – Now select the application you want to hide and point to the Add option at the bottom of the page.
You can now see the added apps in the Secure Folder home screen. You can also go to the notifications section once again and remove the Secure Folder from the phone’s home screen.
The next time you want to access Secure Folder, just enable Secure Folder again from the notifications area and follow the steps above.
Method 3; Use third party launchers
If you are not a fan of Samsung One UI, you can always use third-party launchers. Thanks to these launchers, you can give your home screen a special and different shape and image.
One of the most popular third-party launchers that probably represent your presence is Nova Launcher, which has recently received a major update and many of its features have changed.
Among the features of Nova Launcher is the ability to hide applications. To do this, you need to follow the steps below.
Step 1 – Install Nova Launcher on your phone.
Step 2 – Open the app and set Nova Launcher as the default launcher for your Galaxy phone.

Step 3 – Hold your finger on the home screen to enter the launcher settings.
Tip 4 – Go to App Drawer> Hide apps and select the apps you want to hide here. This will no longer show the applications you want in the launcher drop-down menu. You must repeat the same process to rediscover applications.

Hide unnecessary apps from your Samsung phone
With millions of apps in the Google Play Store, filling the app drop-down menu with unnecessary apps is no easy task. But fortunately, thanks to the methods we have mentioned, you can hide the less necessary apps from time to time.
